Qualitative Research Proposal What do 18-25 year old Adelaide students think about legalising voluntary euthanasia in Australia? Introduction The purpose of this research is to seeking and analysing the opinions about legalising voluntary euthanasia within Adelaide students (aged 18-25 years old). With recent changes to legalisation of child euthanasia in Belgium, the controversial issue of euthanasia is currently being re-spotlighted all over the world. Ongoing active discussion on the legalisation of euthanasia mainly debates individual’s choices in ending their own life. While some people believe that the act of euthanasia violates sanctity of life, others consider that one has the right to their life, and hence should be able to choose to be euthanized. Even before this research, I was interested in euthanasia area. I just knew brief information and meanings of euthanasia, but I always wanted to know more depth about euthanasia and details. This research will be focused to provide the background and concepts of euthanasia, ethical issues with euthanasia and answer the question of â€Å"What do 18-25 year old Adelaide students think about legalising voluntary euthanasia in Australia?† To support this, various information from literature reviews and detailed research design will also be provided. United States Economy The United States is not only one of the largest economies in the world, but it is also one of the strongest economies compared to industrialized countries, and this has been proven in the last few years. Despite of what many people believe or see, U.S economy is booming and it will continue to boom during the year 2015. In the article â€Å"When the U.S Economy is the Envy of the World,† published by the MSNBC on December 8, 2014, its author Steve Benen argues about the U.S economic recovery in order to persuade U.S citizens and show them the numbers that prove that our economy has recovered. Benen (2014) also encourage U.S citizens not â€Å"to compare the current economic recovery to other recoveries that followed modern downturns,† but â€Å"to compare our economic recovery against other countries who dealt with similar circumstances† because according to President Obama, the U.S â€Å"has put more people back to work† than any advanced economy in the world (qtd. in Benen, 2014). Educators need unbiased, meaningful data on the types of programs likely to help their low-achieving students. Schools should focus on everyday classroom teaching and include various forms of cooperative learning and phonics-oriented programs.
